90210 with Outkast, D.Hoff, the Governatress and More!
So I was shopping at Barney’s New York (again!), checking out some makeup from Angelina Jolie’s favorite line, Hourglass. The eye shadow color palettes were too irresistible to pass up and as I was making my purchases, a man strutting through the cosmetics section with a goofy wide brimmed straw hat caught my freshly made up eye.
As I took a closer look, it was Outkast’s Andre 3000, carrying a Barney’s New York shopping bag. He was sexy and confident in an ivory blazer and jeans; his goofy hat contrasting with his serious-looking goatee. He looked over and saw me staring so I gave a quick smile and he actually smiled back. He continued his strut through the cosmetics to pick up his car at valet.
Only a few minutes later, I was walking down Beverly Drive and caught Dustin Hoffman and family just exiting the Cheesecake Factory. Wearing shorts and a polo, he was obviously relaxed and looked like an average guy walking down a street. Of course everyone he passed was staring, but he didn’t seem to mind (or maybe he’s used to it)!
About two blocks later, Marianne Jean-Baptiste from Without a Trace was walking with a girlfriend and stopped into Jigsaw, a fun British shop. She must be nostalgic for her home country!

A few minutes later, I went to grab my dry cleaning down the street. As I pulled up, blacked out Suburbans were illegally blocking all the parking spots! I finally found a spot a block away and realized the reason as soon as I walked by the Nick Chavez Salon. (The celebrity stylist’s salon is right next to my cleaners). Inside, the First Lady of California, Maria Shriver, was getting her nails done. She must have had her hair done too! It looked fab. But did her secret service people really need to take up an entire block of parking spots? Probably not, but then, excess is typical around here.
