Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher reunite?

As if nerding out at a gamer party wasn’t dorky enough, I hit up the Star Wars Convention in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend.

Where else does one see Storm Troopers walk the streets as if they were your everyday Joe? And who doesn’t want to see Boba Fett flying with his Jett Pack over seas of mystified fans? With light saber at hand, it was super fun to let my dorky side out.

Princess Leia actress Carrie Fisher was around for most of the days and she did show up on Saturday. Despite her flightiness, she looked great, and I couldn’t even tell how much work she’s had done. BTW, she is such a good judge on On The Lot! She’s like Paula but with a brain!

I got a chance to meet hot Aussie actor Ray Park whose spiky hair was a welcomed contrast to his menacing bald Episode 1 character, Darth Maul. He was super friendly to my nephews, eagerly signing autographs and taking pictures. Though married, he was a bit of a flirt…or maybe his smile is just that heart melting!

Little Jake Lloyd who played Anakin Skywalker wasn’t so little anymore. A senior in high school, it was hard to find the young Jedi in such an adult face.

But the biggest Star Wars star sighting wasn’t anywhere near the crowded convention halls. Earlier on in the week, I had seen Han Solo himself grabbing some food at The City Bakery at The Brentwood Country Mart. Harrison Ford was meeting with some other men for what looked like a business meeting. He was disappointingly scrawny and wore a hoop earring. Not the Indiana Jones I remember lusting after, but as an official Star Wars nerd, I definitely felt “the force” of his presence.
