Hollywood Knows How to Boogie
Dirk Diggler would have been proud of my friend’s birthday bash in the Hollywood Hills on Saturday night. The 70’s themed party had Melina Kanakaredes and Melissa George boogying in their sequined costumes while L.A.’s industry types lounged on beanbags.
Melina came in a plunging V-neck silver mini dress that she borrowed from an undisclosed designer's fall 2007 collection. She admitted to taping her boobs to make sure everything stayed in place. Regardless of being a mom of two, she looked hot! She brought her love of 20 years, hubby Peter Constantinides. They excitedly talked about their favorite place in the world, Greece, as they shared birthday cake.
I had such a fab time talking to a brunette Melissa George who also brought her hubby, Chilean director Claudio Daubed. True to her Aussie roots, she was the nicest thing ever. Her flawless skin was too perfect to be true so I had to find out her secrets. She revealed that she only sees a derm twice a year for peels, otherwise, it’s all about makeup and eating well. We talked fashion and makeup for way too long, only to move on about her new HBO series, In Treatment.
As I was talking to Melissa, I was distracted by the wild party going on around us. A yoga instructor, wearing a lime green bell-bottomed jumpsuit, gave us all a lesson in drunken interpretive dance as the BeeGee’s wailed “Tragedy.” Inspired by Boogie Nights, one of my friends was getting a lap dance from another yoga girl. And some people were having too much fun on the beanbags.
Yep, Dirk would have dug this shindig!

Melinda Kanakaredes is proof that Hollywood can still produce actresses as that of their hayday. She is an exquisite beauty and believable actress.
Her character in CSI:NY probably makes every man watching want to get arrested by just her.
My only disappointment in the show is that Her & Gary Sinese's characters didn't get together as a romatic couple. Thought that was going to happen for awhile.
