Luke Wilson's Mystery Date at You Kill Me Party
The latest Hollywood premiere after party was definitely a buzz-kill. You Kill Me with Tea Leoni, Luke Wilson and Ben Kingsley was a rather uneventful and quiet premiere that might have bored me to death had it not been for good company and a fabulous new drink.
The party coincided with the opening of L.A.’s much anticipated hotspot, Ritual. Tea brought Gary Shandling as her date (apparently David Duchovny was filming elsewhere) while Luke showed up with a hot mysterious blonde. Luke and his secret companion munched Kobe beef sliders in a dark, secluded corner, obviously avoiding the myriads of party goers (and any stealthy reporters and creepy photogs).
I watched Marcus Thomas light up a cigarette and smoke alone with a drink in hand at one of the three bars. Moments later, a sexy Natasha Henstridge greeted Steve Valentine at a table where they proceeded to light up and enjoy a drink.
The DJ spun some fun hits while servers passed beef teriyaki, stuffed squash and crab cakes. But most exciting of all was the new acai (kind of like a pomegranate) spirit from VeeV that is loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and proteins, so you don’t get a hangover! Ashton Kutcher is a fan. Apparently, he’s stocking up at his five L.A. restaurants. I promise partygoers, you’ll thank me for adding the life to your years!
While VeeV didn’t liven up the party, hopefully you’ll give the movie a shot in the theatre.
