TV's Biggest Celebs at LG's Big Bash

ScottBaio.jpgSome of TV’s most memorable stars, past and present, were on hand to celebrate the launch of LG’s new mobile device at Paramount Studios on Tuesday night. The futuristic phone actually has a built-in TV, so it was only fitting that our favorite TV stars of all time, including Shannen Doherty, Gary Coleman, Scott Baio, Alan Thicke and George Takei were on hand to welcome the future of their medium.

Just as I arrived, I saw my friend Jed from People magazine interviewing Gary Coleman, who had on an eclectic brown derby hat. Gary looked old, and Jed looked bored, so I headed into the party without saying hi. (Sorry, Jed!).

As my friends and I entered the sound stage, hot hostesses offered us huge hunks of candy. I grabbed a stick of Starburst but seconds later, I was totally starstruck!

JesseMetcalfe.jpgMy friend and I stood wide eyed in front of three epic cars that were parked for everyone to jump into! I immediately saw Jesse Metcalfe in the Dukes of Hazzard car. I ran to the original Batmobile and had my pic taken. Paulo Costanzo was standing with his girlfriend, just staring in awe at the sexy black auto. Jokingly, I asked him not to touch my baby (referring to the Batmobile, of course!) and he gave me a nasty look. Can you take a joke, dying actor? Or must they be written for you?

After our photo call, we realized that the giant soundstage recreated themes from three of television’s most memorable shows including The Brady Bunch, Star Trek and Happy Days. I grabbed mini-cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings and a chocolate milkshake at the Happy Days Diner where I sat next to 24’s Roger Cross. After talking to him for 10 minutes, I can honestly say he is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. Although he wouldn’t reveal any goss on working with Diane Keaton and Katie Holmes on his latest movie, Mad Money, he seemed relieved to be back partying in L.A.

Over at the bar, I caught Wilson Cruz and Scott Baio getting drinks. A few steps away, Brittany Snow was with a posse of friends dancing to DJ AM's amazing playlist.

Rex Lee didn’t have an entourage, but he posed with anyone who wanted to take a photo with him.

As we manuevered our way across the party, we saw Adrianne Curry posing for pics with hubby Christopher Knight on the famous stairs of The Brady Bunch set. My friend Tom and Trish (you may have seen her on Deal or No Deal) grabbed me and we ran over. Without any begging, Chris sweetly took a picture with us (although he requested that he be flanked by the ladies).

LGHeroes_136.jpgWe passed through the VIP section where I saw everyone from Heroes. I caught up with Zachary Quinto (so cute), and we talked about his travels in Europe for a while. He loved Berlin, visited friends in Paris and lived large in a luxe hotel in Barcelona.

He wouldn’t tell me anything about the upcoming season though. Apparently, I sabotaged my chances of getting you guys the scoop because I admitted that I have yet to catch a single episode. But I did make him promise to tell me everything if I watched the shows before I saw him next. I’ll be visiting the set soon so if you want me to get the goss, let me know.

Other heroes included Sendhil Ramamurthy sitting next to Jack Coleman. Masi Oka showed up with an old firend of his. Although expected, Hayden Panettiere was a no show who must have been exhausted from her first day back on the set.

We headed toward the Star Trek set where people were rocking out to Mika and Of Montreal mixes. A dessert and sushi table wooed people to the the corner of the soundstage, but it was the heat lamp warming the smoking patio where the crowd had convened.

LGLaurenConrad.jpgI met actress Polly Shannon (no, not Molly) in the bathroom. We joked about the crowded room, and she grabbed my hand and said I had to be her friend. Intrigued, I followed her to some London-ites who run the local fashion mag, GenLux. Too busy with cigarettes to smoke, they couldn’t be bothered with conversation, so I headed back inside. On the way, I caught a sight of Jason Hervey wandering around alone and Nick Cannon greeting a bunch of girls. I also saw Lauren Conrad near the VIP section sipping cocktails.

There were way too many celebs to keep track of! Literally, everywhere I looked, a familiar face was enjoying the bash. Trish summed it up well by saying “This is the best Tuesday night party ever!”

That wasn't the original Batmobile... it was an exact replica owned by my friend Nate Truman.
