Mike Tyson Suits Up at Maestro's Steakhouse
While Mike Tyson certainly isn't beefing up for any upcoming fights, I did catch him chowing down a ginormous steak at Maestro's in Beverly Hills on Thursday night. The pro-boxer was sitting with a few friends and lots of ladies. Sorry girls, but aren't you afraid for your ears' life? Just being in the same restaurant made me scared! But as I watched, he just laughed, drank wine and enjoyed the company. Who knows, maybe he's just a teddy bear inside all those muscles.
Amanda Bynes Doesn't Kiss and Tell
To promote her new movie landing in theaters this weekend, a sophisticated and grown-up Amanda Bynes took to the red carpet for the world premiere of Sydney White. The red carpet was hot with beautiful PYT’s in perfectly chosen frocks including Sara Paxton, Crystal Hunt, Janel Parrish and Kaycee Stroh. Also in attendance was super hunk (and Amanda's Prince Charming in the movie) Matt Long, though he disappointingly had a gorgeous wife in tow.

The carpet was crammed with an assortment of short -- but cute -- boys who all take on roles of the Seven Dwarves in the modern-day spin-off of Snow White.
Kirstie Alley showed up blonder than ever and with her daughter. She wore a very flattering black dress that made her look healthy.
Amanda's gorgeous mini-dress from Reiss was super sophisticated. Although she's as fashionable and successful as her teen-star Hollywood counterparts, her Loubou's aren't stepping into trouble. In fact, I overheard her offering some hair-care tips to a reporter on the carpet. She suggested that refraining from wrapping wet hair in a towel would prevent breakage! See? She's helpful, smart and successful! When I got a chance to ask her about a boyfriend, she took a step back and said, "Not at the moment," with a sly, knowing smile. And when I pointed to the flower-shaped, pave-diamond ring on her finger, she claimed, "It was just from a friend." Yeah, right! Who is the lucky guy, Amanda?!
In the meantime, checking out her onscreen boyfriend certainly suffices. Support sober actresses and see the movie!
Eric McCormack spotted in WeHo
A little Italian ever did anyone harm, so I stopped by Dan Tana's, one of L.A's oldest Italian establishments, to load up on delish spaghetti. As I waited for a friend outside, I spotted Eric McCormack and his wife chatting with another couple while waiting for a table. Eric had a permanent smile as he talked and cute, spiked brown hair! And even with reservations, they had to wait 20 minutes! After waiting for 10 minutes for my table, the host brought me a glass of wine. Gotta love a joint who treats everyone like they are celebrities, even us regular people!
Partying with TV Guide! Get The Inside Scoop on The Hottest Emmy Party!
Though all of L.A. was buzzing with huge Emmy parties tonight, I hung out at the TV Guide party at Les Deux in Hollywood. Converting the parking lot into the party site, TV Guide's mile long red carpet gave way to a gorgeous golden veranda and tent, accented with Marie Antoinette's (literally, ladies in waiting) either serving champagne or swinging in Gazebos. It was by far the most ginormous party I have ever seen. So enormous, that it was impossible to keep track of the loads of celebrities who partied like it was the Grammy's (that is to say, like rockstars, baby!).
The first set of celebrities to show were Sandra Oh, Ali Larter, Greg Grunberg, James Denton, Vanessa Williams, America Ferrera, and Blair Underwood. And as the night went on, the Entourage boys made their cameos, along with Debra Messing, Ellen Pompeo, Sara Ramirez, Simon Cowell, Justin Chambers, Rebecca Gayheart, and Sarah Chalke.
The party was thriving when we arrived, but by 10:30 John Legend took the stage and got the party rolling! The set was smooth and sexy, just like John. I danced next to Scrubs star Judy Reyes to my right while Sharon Lawrence swayed to the music to my left. At one point, John invited an excited audience member onstage to sing along and when the song was over, John asked her what her name was. She screamed out, "I'm Niecy Nash!" as if everyone should know (sorry Niecy, we haven't TiVo'd Reno 911 and don't think many of us ever will!).
But the party truly started when Kanye West unexpectedly surprised party goers. Even the bustier-clad servers couldn't help but stop passing hors d-oeuvres and dance to the infectious beats. Though he couldn't make it through his third song (seems he had forgotten the lyrics), the crowd cheered him on anyway!
Side stage, I got a chance to get a pic with James Denton of Desperate Housewives. He mentioned how excited he was that his band was playing but was nervous that he had to used John Legend's bands equipment. I wished him luck and hunted after the hunks who were serving delicious chocolate covered strawberries. ![]()
Over by one of many bars, The Hills crew was chatting with some cute boys while Stacy Keibler ordered some drinks.
The freezing temp (sorry, but 50 is like freezing when it was 85 at night last week!) couldn't keep this party from heating up! I caught up with a gorgeous looking but exhausted Ali Larter by a heat lamp. Admitting that she rarely smokes, she was reveling in the 5 minutes peace she was sharing with her boyfriend, with champagne in one hand and a cigarette in the other. But as soon as the first beats of co-star Greg Grunberg's drums signaled the start of Band from TV's set, Ali was inside the tent and dancing to their rendition of "Dance to The Music."
Teri Hatcher lent her vocal talents to the band in an awesome version of "Leave the Pieces." House's Jessie Spencer jumped onstage to play electric violin for "Baba O' Reilley" and both Wayne Brady and Joey Fatone lent their incredible voices to the crowds obvious favorite, "Mustang Sally."
But my favorite part of the evening? Getting to meet Dave Annable (super hottie Justin from Brothers & Sisters)! The gorgeous 28 year old wouldn't reveal any of the upcoming plot, but he made it sound like his character is here to stay! He did show up with co-star Emily VanCamp, but I couldn't tell if they were just super friendly or totally together. He slid his hand around the small of her back and gently pulled her towards him. She smiled when he did that and the smile stayed as long as his hand was there. How's that for a sexy on-set romance?
But the chilly air made it impossible for this L.A. girl stay! Just as I was leaving, America Ferrera walked in, shuddering from the cold and gripping her Emmy into her chest. My friend and I congratulated her on her win and all she could say was, "Thank you! It's so cold!" Ironic, cuz she is the hottest thing on TV right now!
The night was chilly, for sure, but the scene, celebs, and sexy servers made for a super hot and memorable evening.
Pre-Emmy Spotting
Indulging in a fantastic pedicure alongside me at the acclaimed Le Spa at the Sofitel Hotel was none other than legendary actress and Emmy presenter, Cicely Tyson.
Choosing a vivid red hue, the actress noshed on organic popcorn from Whole Foods while chatting with the manicurist. She seemed completely relaxed and very happy, but who isn't when getting pampered?
Big Stars Get Big Gifts for the Emmys
In the first of two cross-town competing gifting suites, the GBK Productions Pre-Emmy gifting suites at the top of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel showcased everything hot in Hollywood from $500 hair dryers to $5,000 weekend getaways for Emmy nominees and presenters.
The scene was set by an overjoyed and enthusiastic Leeza Gibbons, who picked up several body-enhancing products from itWorks!, while grabbing some sexy Brazilian lingerie at Aline Alcantara. Leeza looked amazing in a Theory turtle neck and belted tulip skirt with super-hot grey boots by Report. Across the room, soap star Eileen Davidson picked up hip jewelry at Lindsey Marie, while Crunch Fitness was giving out free annual membership passes.
Just down the hall, everyone's favorite Heroes star Greg Grunberg picked up the new Operation game for his three sons. His jovial laugh could be heard rooms away as he took his turn at the classic board game.
In the baby-themed room, Seth Green and Candace Bailey also resorted to their childhood pleasures and tried on bibs from DaBib while drinking from LilyBugs' cute monkey-covered baby bottles.
Best of all, four charities, including Clothes off our Backs and The Humane Society, had booths set up to get celebrities involved and aware. They were not giving anything away, but they were asking for things from participants. I suppose nothing is free, but it's much easier to give when you get back so much in return.
Ellen Pompeo's Big L.A. Emmy Bash
It’s Emmy Week! Parties, gifting suites and beauty treatments abound to all those lucky celebrities (and all those piggybacking on the lucky celebs) who have scored a trip to the Emmy Awards on Sunday.
The week of parties was launched by L.A. Confidential magazine and its September cover girl, Ellen Pompeo, at the posh One Sunset restaurant in West Hollywood. The Grey’s Anatomy star appropriately wore (what else?) grey and recruited several of her sexy castmates to the red-carpet event including Sandra Oh (wow, she looked hot!) and McSteamy himself, Eric Dane. Also showing to the star-flooded party was Natasha Henstridge with beau Darius Danesh, Zachary Quinto, Stacy Keibler, Rebecca Gayheart, Sarah Chalke, Marla Maples and so, so many others!
As servers passed mini-burgers and pizza slices (hardly the type of food that will get these actors red-carpet ready on Sunday), I watched as the very fit Roger Cross chatted with Henry Simmons, who seemed to share a bond over their super-cut bodies.
I got a chance to ask Ken Davitian about the possibility of a Borat 2, and he turned from friendly and outspoken to completely taciturn. Deborah Gibson looked quite svelte in a mini-dress that looked like a modernized and classy version of her '80s Spandex days.
At the bar, Melora Hardin (Jan from The Office) and her sexy hubby, Gildart Jackson, were sweet enough to buy me a drink. She gave me the scoop that she was wearing Max Azria Atelier to the awards show on Sunday. But no details! She wants that to be a surprise. With that body (and after two kids, mind you!), I’m sure she’ll look amazing!
Later, I saw Melora having a short hallway chat with Office-mate Kate Flannery. Perhaps discussing some good Office gossip?
With more gifting and pre-parties to go, stay tuned for more Emmy gossip!
Meeting Jessica Biel's Brother
Jessica Biel was the shining co-hostess of the Third Annual Pink Party to benefit Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Research Institute, held poolside at the luxurious Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica on Saturday. Jennifer Garner was slated as the evening's other hostess but was stuck promoting her new movie, The Kingdom, in Las Vegas at the VMAs.
Although the invitation strictly required all men and women to wear pink, not many of the celebrities who showed heeded the instructions. American Idol's Katherine McPhee looked ravishing in a mocha-colored dress, and her long brown hair was curled and sexy. I honestly thought she had extensions -- whose hair can be that big and that gorgeous? -- but up close I saw that she is just the luckiest girl ever. She better not go all Britney Spears and shave that off!
Elisabeth Rohm showed in a champagne-colored '50s frock, but I didn't get a chance to see if she arrived with anyone in particular. Marcia Cross arrived alone and only stayed for an hour, but she looked fabulous in a pink silk top and jeans. Also in attendance was a pregnant Courtney Thorne-Smith, Brothers & Sisters actress Sarah Jane Morris and a super skinny Giada de Laurentiis (How does an Italian chef get that skinny? I see her eat on the show all the time! Any thoughts?). Minka Kelly was the standout of the night in her hot pink dress with black tights and stacked heels.
The crowd dug the tunes by DJ Steve Aoki, while noshing on Mac 'n' Cheese Balls, Kobe Beef Sliders and freshly made mini-donuts, as they lounged under corporate-sponsored cabanas. The pool was cleverly covered in clear plexiglass and Go-Go dancers in hot pink mini-dresses entertained the crowd. At one point, Jamie Lee Curtis saw a perspiring Go-Go dancer and felt so bad for the poor dancer that she ran to get the girl a bottle of cold water! Isn't that sweet?
And I can't remember his name (Editor's note: It's Justin), but I did talk to a very cute 22-year-old boy who happened to be Jessica Biel's brother. Apparently, Jessica's whole family came to the party to support the cause. While I was dying to ask what he thought of his sister's GQ spread, he only seemed excited to tell me about moving to L.A.
Though a sea of pink, the party was truly red hot.
Kimberly Locke on Britney Spears's VMA Flop
Although the night was supposed to be about celebrating the achievements of Gladys Knight at the 2007 Ella Awards in Beverly Hills, the attention was brought back to none other than Britney Spears. Maybe it was the congregation of musicians that made the topic so popular, but in nearly every social circle at the non-profit party, someone was talking trash about poor Brit Brit.
It got juicy when I introduced myself to American Idol season two runner-up Kimberly Locke, who had no hesitation talking about Britney's VMA performance.
"It was a mess!" The songstress proclaimed. "A mess, mess, MESS! Why even go on? I can't believe a mediocre singer would be given so many opportunites and not take advantage of them. She was embarrassing. A complete MESS!"
Five years ago, no one would have vocalized that harsh of an opinion so easily about Britney. But now, nothing can be said to defend her. Kimberly was right on, but of course, she did mention that her own latest album is in the top 20 on the charts.
Check it out! We could all use a break from the train wrecks.
A Pool Party with Supermodel Heidi Klum
While everyone is hitting up New York Fashion Week, and my extreme jealousy is leaving me in a life-altering slump, I had to figure out something fashionable to do. Shopping wasn't it. Neither was a visit to a museum. But when I heard fashion photographer, Rankin, was revealing his erotic-yet-artistic new photographs of Kate Moss, Dita Von Teese and his girlfriend Tuuli Shipster in an exhibit called "Eye Candy" at a party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, I was so there.
And I wasn't the only fashion-obsessed one there. The crowd was filled with the creative-type L.A. fashionista/os. I have no hesitations in claiming that the Rankin party was the best-dressed party I have ever been to. And that included Rankin's muse, top model Heidi Klum, who showed in black leather cigarette pants paired with a muted sequin waistcoat from designer Thomas Wylde.

Heidi only stayed for a short time, but hipsters had no problem lounging poolside at the Hollywood hotspot. A few partygoers shunned their fabulous frocks for a dip in the pool! No one in Bryant Park would dare jump in the fountains! Maybe being stuck in L.A. isn't so awful after all.
Daniel Radcliffe's Shaving Massacre
In a quick stop in L.A. to promote a movie that's not Harry Potter, I got a glimpse of the sprightly yet sophisticated Daniel Radcliffe at the premiere of December Boys on Thursday night.
Obviously not familiar with L.A. traffic, the barely five-foot-tall Hollywood wizard arrived over an hour late, forcing loads of people to stand around waiting. But shunning his entourage of agents and security guards, he quickly began signing autographs, shaking hands, taking pictures, and he comfortably worked the red carpet as his publicist watched (from all of two feet away).
Despite only getting a whopping two seconds to talk to him, I got a close-up look explaining just one possibility of his lateness: It must have taken him forever to shave! Danny (as everyone in his circle called him) had little nicks and missed clumps of hair in random spots on his neck and face. With the hair unmistakeably contrasting against his pale skin, it was obvious that the mere idea of a shave was akin to a full on facial massacre. The poor guy!
Uncaring of his botched face, he strutted the carpet in dark, straight leg, asymmetric jeans, a black jacket and a white cotton tuxedo shirt. He looked relaxed but his answers were serious, witty and extremely eloquent. He revealed that he was excited for filming of the sixth Harry Potter in 10 days time but failed to respond to one magazine reporter's inquiry about the status of his love life.

If he was a regular 18-year-old guy, I'm not so sure that this British boy -- who has yet to conquor the art of shaving -- would have much of a love life, but Harry Potter is one sexy beast. Good to stay mum, Danny.
Salma Hayek Looking a Little Green
Who says pregnant girls can't have fun? Following in Nicole Richie's footsteps and proving that baby bumps don't make for social slumps, a very pregnant Salma Hayek spent Wednesday evening at The Green Door, a super posh Hollywood hot spot. Though sipping on sparkling water, she was clearly having fun mingling with her fiance, businessman Francois-Henri Pinault and the group of business-looking friends. She did leave just before 10:30pm.

Get your beauty sleep while you still can Salma!
Jennifer Aniston's Supermarket Sweep
I never expect A-listers to be out and about doing their own errands. Don't they have "people" to do that for them?
So it was a shocking surprise to catch Jennifer Aniston grabbing some groceries at the local specialty market, Bristol Farms. Dressed in a muted pink tank top, boot-cut jeans and sky-high cork wedge heels, she looked casually sexy. She flipped her long tousled hair as she gabbed with a girlfriend at the checkout until the checker politely interrupted her for payment.
Groceries bagged, Jennifer loaded the contents of her cart into her green Range Rover, said goodbye to her friend, and headed off into busy L.A. traffic. No driver. No "people." Nada.
P.S. If you are like all of my girlfriends and are dying to find out about the foods that keep Jennifer Aniston so perfectly thin, I didn't get a glimpse of her shopping cart or purchases. Sorry!
