Partying with TV Guide! Get The Inside Scoop on The Hottest Emmy Party!

Though all of L.A. was buzzing with huge Emmy parties tonight, I hung out at the TV Guide party at Les Deux in Hollywood. Converting the parking lot into the party site, TV Guide's mile long red carpet gave way to a gorgeous golden veranda and tent, accented with Marie Antoinette's (literally, ladies in waiting) either serving champagne or swinging in Gazebos. It was by far the most ginormous party I have ever seen. So enormous, that it was impossible to keep track of the loads of celebrities who partied like it was the Grammy's (that is to say, like rockstars, baby!).

The first set of celebrities to show were Sandra Oh, Ali Larter, Greg Grunberg, James Denton, Vanessa Williams, America Ferrera, and Blair Underwood. And as the night went on, the Entourage boys made their cameos, along with Debra Messing, Ellen Pompeo, Sara Ramirez, Simon Cowell, Justin Chambers, Rebecca Gayheart, and Sarah Chalke.

The party was thriving when we arrived, but by 10:30 John Legend took the stage and got the party rolling! The set was smooth and sexy, just like John. I danced next to Scrubs star Judy Reyes to my right while Sharon Lawrence swayed to the music to my left. At one point, John invited an excited audience member onstage to sing along and when the song was over, John asked her what her name was. She screamed out, "I'm Niecy Nash!" as if everyone should know (sorry Niecy, we haven't TiVo'd Reno 911 and don't think many of us ever will!).

But the party truly started when Kanye West unexpectedly surprised party goers. Even the bustier-clad servers couldn't help but stop passing hors d-oeuvres and dance to the infectious beats. Though he couldn't make it through his third song (seems he had forgotten the lyrics), the crowd cheered him on anyway!

Side stage, I got a chance to get a pic with James Denton of Desperate Housewives. He mentioned how excited he was that his band was playing but was nervous that he had to used John Legend's bands equipment. I wished him luck and hunted after the hunks who were serving delicious chocolate covered strawberries. meandjamesd.jpg

Over by one of many bars, The Hills crew was chatting with some cute boys while Stacy Keibler ordered some drinks.

The freezing temp (sorry, but 50 is like freezing when it was 85 at night last week!) couldn't keep this party from heating up! I caught up with a gorgeous looking but exhausted Ali Larter by a heat lamp. Admitting that she rarely smokes, she was reveling in the 5 minutes peace she was sharing with her boyfriend, with champagne in one hand and a cigarette in the other. But as soon as the first beats of co-star Greg Grunberg's drums signaled the start of Band from TV's set, Ali was inside the tent and dancing to their rendition of "Dance to The Music."

Teri Hatcher lent her vocal talents to the band in an awesome version of "Leave the Pieces." House's Jessie Spencer jumped onstage to play electric violin for "Baba O' Reilley" and both Wayne Brady and Joey Fatone lent their incredible voices to the crowds obvious favorite, "Mustang Sally."

But my favorite part of the evening? Getting to meet Dave Annable (super hottie Justin from Brothers & Sisters)! The gorgeous 28 year old wouldn't reveal any of the upcoming plot, but he made it sound like his character is here to stay! He did show up with co-star Emily VanCamp, but I couldn't tell if they were just super friendly or totally together. He slid his hand around the small of her back and gently pulled her towards him. She smiled when he did that and the smile stayed as long as his hand was there. How's that for a sexy on-set romance?

But the chilly air made it impossible for this L.A. girl stay! Just as I was leaving, America Ferrera walked in, shuddering from the cold and gripping her Emmy into her chest. My friend and I congratulated her on her win and all she could say was, "Thank you! It's so cold!" Ironic, cuz she is the hottest thing on TV right now!

The night was chilly, for sure, but the scene, celebs, and sexy servers made for a super hot and memorable evening.
